Job Description

As a Live Operations Manager at Tamatem, you will work alongside the product team to boost player engagement and monetization over the game’s lifetime by surprising and delighting players every day! You will be responsible for ensuring the seamless operation of our games and driving engagement and revenue through effective in-game events, promotions, and monetization strategies. Delivering fantastic player experiences and maximizing commercial success is a formula for you to balance.

You will utilize game data, competitive research, and player feedback to optimize existing and formulate new engagement strategies and then collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate these into highly engaging features and events. Also, you'll analyze and report on engagement amp; monetization performance, from high-level KPIs to deep dives into specific initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and structure the Live Operations department at Tamatem and lead a team of Live Operations specialists - currently just one.
  • Develop and own the Live Operations’ strategy, as you clearly define the expectations and outcomes we want to achieve, accounting for both audience expectations, as well as company’s business goals
  • Collaborate with the Product, Community and Monetization teams to drive the day-to-day execution of the strategy by owning the schedule, targets, and overall success of in-game competitions and live events.
  • Create and manage schedules for in-game events and promotions.
  • Devise improvements, hypotheses and A/B tests with the Product and Analytics teams to make data-informed recommendations to optimize game retention, engagement and monetization metrics.
  • Own the roadmap of features and tools needed to grow, innovate and improve live ops of your game, and coordinate their development with relevant stakeholders.
  • Champion the improvements of tools for the benefit of Live Operations efficiency.
  • Define the communication strategy inside the game: work with marketing and artists on asset creation, coordinate their localization and optimize their in-game display.
  • Together with game analysts, conduct quantitative analysis to provide key insights into product performance and uncover opportunities for further engagement and monetization.
  • Benchmark and analyze Live ops best practices in the industry.

Requirements

Profile amp; Qualifications

  • Demonstrated track record and experience in running and growing a live F2P game.
  • Sound product judgment, ability to formulate live ops strategy and present clear, measurable key results that will lead to achieving business goals.
  • Hands-on approach and impact-driven focus on constantly pushing game performance and delivering fantastic player experiences.
  • Deep understanding of economy and monetization design, as well as of engagement drivers in live service games.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills with an emphasis on metrics-driven decision making.
  • Comfortable taking calculated risks, learning and sharing the lessons learned.
  • Extensive knowledge of live operations and monetization trends within the F2P business model.
  • Passion for games on mobile.
  • Result-driven and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to think on your feet and highly organized.
  • Customer focused way of working with a keen visual sense.
  • Combine creative thinking with clear data-driven decisions.
