Position

The goal of the Learning Designer is to create engaging and effective learning experiences that meet business and learner needs, lead on custom content development, ensure that the pedagogical UX drives relevant impact metrics, and that our trainers understand and use our methodology and contents as designed.

Responsibilities

RESEARCH amp; BEST PRACTICE

• Explore potential opportunities for improvements within the products we provide and the learner and trainer experience.
• Analyze and action feedback from learners and trainers.
• Continually upskill in the areas of Learning Science and AI for education, to identify opportunities and risks for product development.

• Provide methodological support to Learning teammates to ensure all learning content development follows the principles defined for that content suite.
• Effectively communicate and inspire the team to understand and embrace learning principles and excellence in all Learning projects.

PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

• Lead on implementation of learning design of new courses incl. outline / syllabus, QA of learning outcomes and learning objectives.
• Ensure all new content is developed, updated, and maintained according to defined and documented processes.

• Lead on (including project management) all custom content projects, including forecasting and progress reporting.
• Manage development and ensure implementation of Microlearning principles and learning design best practices in the revised Specialized courses.
• Design instructional materials, such as e-learning modules, videos, and interactive activities.
• Develop assessments to measure learning outcomes.
• Work with subject matter experts to ensure content accuracy and relevance.

• Support in the uploading, proofing, and publishing of all course content.

PRODUCT SUCCESS

• Monitor the quality of Specialized content.
• Work with Operations to ensure trainers utilize and apply the methodology and contents appropriately and that trainer satisfaction and brand loyalty is secured.
• Work with wider Product teams (LX, TX, UX) to ensure learners understand the methodology and are enabled for success.

• Work with Product Management, Learning, and Ops to ensure the Trainer Community Site reflects current content and methodology accurately.

DOCUMENTATION amp; TRAINING

• Create, update, and maintain any relevant project documentation.
• Assist with ongoing/continuous training and support regarding Skills, Specialized or methodology in general (including Trainer Workshops when needed)

• Expertise with learning/instructional design models and principles, such as ADDIE or SAM.
• Knowledge of accessibility and inclusive design practices.
• Focus on learning excellence as well as great learner experience.

• Strong multi-project management and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to analyze and interpret data to inform design decisions.
• Strong attention to detail and quality assurance skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done.

• Skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams.
• Organizational, planning, and documentation skills

Education amp; Experience:

• 1 - 2 years working as a Learning/Instructional Designer in an EdTech company.

• Experience creating or developing content for adult learners
• Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
• CPD in Learning/ Instructional Design
• Experience with learning management systems and authoring tools.
• Awareness and / or experience with AI in education would be a bonus.

• Travel: Ability to travel 1-2 times a year
• Schedule: +/-2-3 hours of European time zones
