Winnow was founded in London in 2013 to help the hospitality industry prevent food waste through internet of things tools in the kitchen. THE ROLE
We are investing in developing new products and services, and this role is responsible for supporting data analysis for these innovations.
Responsibilities include:
- Performing ongoing data analysis to present back insights to clients
- Produce and track key performance indicators
- Identify areas to increase efficiency and automation of processes
- Develop best practices and professionalise the way we currently operate
- Image annotation and creating client facing presentations
- Take on more complex data analysis problems
This role provides an opportunity to be at the forefront of our newest innovations, and shape the way that these products work. This role will also require the ability to turn data insights into stories that help clients to make changes to reduce waste or change the way they operate. This role will be for an initial 3 month contract with the potential to become permanent should the business need continue.
Requirements
Excellent numerical and analytical skills
- Highly competent in using Excel (and willing to learn more) as this will be the primary tool used daily
- Comfortable using macros and formulas such as vlookups, sumifs, and pivot tables
- Experience with data formatting and cleaning, both for numeric and qualitative data
- Experience handling large data sets of multiple 1,000s of rows
- Knowledge of programming for data and analytics - R, Python, not required but a plus
Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences
- Ability to facilitate group discussions
- Attention to details. Ability to develop accurate written materials
- Action oriented. Ability to follow-up on feedback to ensure positive outcomes
- Comfortable training others to develop data skills
- Ability to turn data into insights and present these insights effectively
