Requirements
Find your way through the clouds
Appsbroker is dynamic and the role is varied so you’ll get involved in a wide range of activities but here is how a day would look like:
- Thrive on giving a great support experience to customers, managing, logging and tracking defects from open to close.
- Continuously and proactively identify the need of monitoring areas and application’s administrative services.
- Work closely with Appsbroker, Google and customer engineering teams to solve complex technical issues.
- Activities include bespoke software application troubleshooting, or interrogating check logs and traces
- Follow best practices for rolling out security patches amp; operating system releases in coordination with other involved teams.
What you will bring to the team
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a Support amp; Operations environment in a 2nd line role preferably in an ITIL environment.
- Incident Management experience is a plus;
- Ability to handle multiple projects and shifting priorities
- Ability to work well independently as well as effectively within a team
- Previous exposure to environmental change control processes and configuration/release management.
- Basic experience with Linux in Virtual Machine environments: VMware / VSphere, KVM, Xen
- Ability to speak directly to customers (either technical or business teams)
- Excellent English, written and verbal
This is for you if
- You have a BS in Computer Science or related engineering field, or equivalent practical experience
- You are willing to work in a continuously changing environment
- You are willing to learn: Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes, BigQuery, CloudSQL, Compute Engine, Ansible, Docker
- You are curious about database configuration and management (with NoSQL databases)
- You want experience with administration of a major cloud platform
- Networking SSL/Encryption/Security protocols are part of your interests
- Availability for 24/7 shift rotation, including weekends
