Overview

Responsibilities

• Automated Test Development: Create and maintain automated test scripts, test suites, and testing frameworks to verify game functionality, performance, and stability across multiple platforms.
• Test Strategy Design: Collaborate with QA analysts and development teams to design and develop comprehensive test strategies that cover various game aspects, including gameplay, user interfaces, network functionalities, and performance.
• Integration and Regression Testing: Integrate automated tests into the continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline to ensure early detection of defects and provide rapid feedback to development teams. Conduct regression testing to validate game updates and ensure backward compatibility.
• Test Environment Setup: Configure and maintain test environments, including hardware, software, and network configurations, to simulate real-world gameplay scenarios and ensure consistent testing conditions.
• Bug Reporting and Tracking: Identify, document, and report software defects and inconsistencies using bug tracking systems. Collaborate with developers to understand issues and verify fixes.
• Performance Testing: Design and execute performance tests to identify bottlenecks assess resource utilization, and optimize game performance for different platforms.
• Test Documentation: Create clear and concise test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test scripts, to facilitate knowledge transfer and maintain consistency in testing processes.
• Test Automation Best Practices: Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in test automation, and actively research and propose innovative approaches to improve testing efficiency and effectiveness
• Collaborative Team Player: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and project managers, to understand game requirements and ensure seamless integration of automated

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience in a related field
• 5+ years of experience in software testing with proven skills in creating and executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts
• 5+ years of experience in test automation using tools such as Unity Test Framework, Selenium, Appium, and/or TestNG
• Experience with Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) such as Visual Studio, PyCharm or Eclipse.
• Expert knowledge of software testing methodologies and best practices
• Proficient in at least one programming language such as Java, Python, or JavaScript
• Understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and API testing
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
